SSD hex bolts, not quite.... |

...quite the same quality as their wheels. Okay bolts, could use some improvements. Mine came on a set of SSD wheels.
The bolts look scale enough, but the heads are rounded and actually taper a little as they reach the top. Study the picture above closely. Bad combination for small fasteners and their required tools. These bolts slipped/stripped using Wiha and Moody nut-drivers.
A managed to make a decent makeshift nut-driver with an M3 button head screw and tap handle. Did an excellent job removing the scale bolts and never once slipped.
All scale bolts have now been replaced with M2x5mm stainless socket screws. The new screws threaded in perfectly, are a perfect fit in my 1.5mm hexdrivers and hold more torque than the scale bolts.
This is not a high traffic area and the screws seldom need to be removed. But the Scale Hex Bolts need some improvements to fit standard 2mm nut drivers that are readily available.
RPP service & delivery were excellent.
